The fuel gages suck on the 17's too, as much as I like Pete, how the HEL L can a company charge $150 K for a product and keep selling it when they know it has a defect...

That's the discount price. If you want a better working guage the price goes up!

I believe someone once said, image is everything...and with Pete, you're not just buying a truck, you're buying the image as well. I think it adds 10-15k to the price for that red oval...my opinion, they found the major cause of most of the problems...then they put an oval around it and highlighted it red. 1462822992300.jpg
Never was a Pete fan...never will be. I mean, they're better than Navastar...maybe because they are built on this side of the border (by a few hundred miles)

So what's your favorite brand, if you weren't driving a Pete you'd rather be driving a???

I love the 579, but if I could I'd build a 389 glider with a 97 inch custom sleeper to answer that midnight call lol... I do like the Freightliner Coronado and the Volvo VNL 730 if I have to drive something other than the 579 with DEF.

I really wish we could get rid of DEF engines, but I'm green enough to know they're here for the long term. Heck Cali is pushing hybrid or zero emissions trucks by the mid 2000's, glad I'll be done by then ;).
