Delivered in Auburn, WA this morning and drove to my p/u in Pendleton, OR. Wasn't scheduled to load until tomorrow until about noon. Called them this morning and asked if loading early was an option. They said they will try to load me today but if not they will 1st thing in the morning. I said thank you so very much!

Deliver to Cavendish in Jamestown Friday morning. Reload at Cavendish and head to GA.

Hey @jande016 I don't know how familiar you are with truck types, the 579's that make up the majority of our fleet (we have a few older 587's that are roomier inside) are midroofs, very much in the line of a traditional Pete stand up sleeper. I sometimes stay out 6 weeks with no problem, but I tend to do laundry and stop at stores to replinish food.

The truck is not a condo like say a Volvo 780 or high roof Freightliner Cascadia. Many companies run mid-roofs's as OTR, and ours have the 80 inch sleeper dimension which gives you a larger bed, lots of room under the bunk and a large hanging closet with door and good sized storage closet under the pull out desk.

As one of the others mentioned you also have the ability to add a shelf in the back without drilling holes, the Pete back shelf is an option that we didn't spec, otherwise except for carpet up front and fake wood-grain on the dash the spec is Owner Op.

Everybody has an ideal truck, and I admit to being a Pete fan though if we were to switch to Volvo 730's (midroof and lighter than the 780) I wouldn't complain. There are plenty of YouTube videos on our type of truck if your curious and at different spots in this thread there are pics of our trucks.

I have my closet full of hanging stuff (only clothes and a hanging shoe cubby for my socks and skivies) my shelf on the tv side has my snacky side dish stuff (fruit cups applesause etc), my popcorn and some of the stuff I hardly use. Over that in that skinny shelf is my dvd player and my tv/dvd's dedicated inverter, my OTC meds and my boot cleaning stuff (for when I go thru Fargo). On my drivers side lower cabinet is my tote full of soups and a tote for my bowls, plates and larger Saran wrap, and beside that is my laundry supply bag. In my coffee maker cubby is my denture supplies, my soap and shampoo bottles (refill supply) my extra mouthwash, some extra hdmi wires, my coffee sweetener and my rinse free soap and shampoo for those times when I can't get a shower. (Baby/Handy wipes only buy me about 2 or 3 hours of odor free living). My microwave is on it's shelf and behind it is my spare coffee filter packs and yet another spare inverter. In the shelf over the sleeper door is my towels, and my real snack food supplies (chips, salsa mixed nuts etc). Over it in the skinny slot is my plastic containers of forks and spoons and the rest of the crock pot bags, small saran wrap and some small plastic bags. My coats (winter spring and fall, along with my rain coat when it's dry) hang from swag light chain hung between the shelves on rubber coated hooks along the back wall. My dirty clothes bag sits on a 2 drawer unit behind my passenger seat on the speed bump, it has extra 6 way outlets, my charger for my rechargable batteries, the battery for my trailer cleaning blower, my knives, a can opener, and some zip ties. All strapped against the seat. In front of my passenger seat on the floor is my tote of diet soda, my coffee maker and my extra useable water. Under the bunk is a few tools, truck supplies, my blower, extra jugs of water for trailer rinsing and a folded up duffle in case they fire me and I need to pack my clothes.

I really don't know why I have cooking stuff and food. Since my main inverter is unreliable, so I don't use it. And since it didn't act up for the shop when it was in there, I don't know if I will ever use the food stuff.

At least he doesn't have to stop on the side of the road to cool a tire. Just roll the window down and hang it out, unless it's cold.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25521:

4mer trucker, Pigbacon and Ordy19 Thank this.
