Waiting to get in the dock at Bama Dough in Tulsa. Load doesn't deliver until 1700 Friday in Aurora, CO. I thought I could squeeze in a 34 if I could make it down the road a ways today. That's looking a little doubtful now.

 

@Pigbacon if you're ever delivering in Hebron KY, this place is within walking distance of the Florance TA...

 

Made my delivery in Aberdeen Md. At 2a yesterday... Went back over to the Maryland House and got a few hrs sleep. Then picked up a broker load in Owings Mill, MD headed to Yakinville NC.
Sweet 8 pallet, 18,000lb load.
Drove to Yadkinville NC and delivered this morning.
Then Reloaded at Kay Chemical in Winston Salem NC headed up to Rogers MN with a noon Friday appt.... Got lucky and got loaded about 7 hrs early which changed this from a nighttime load to an easy daytime run. This one is 16 pallet, 21,000lb load....
Fun running up Fancy Gap at 57 mph!!

Working on a plan with Ashley for the weekend... Probably grab a reset since I'm on recaps and the Twins are in town!!

Scheduled for Friday afternoon to get a PM done on the truck at CR. Also have to get a wire harness replaced that melted. It's making my one daylight running light to not work. Thanks to another Magnum driver For telling me about the light. It's hard to check on your own. It isn't included in the 'light check' button and only luminates when the brakes are released.
To check it you need to set the trailer brakes and release the tractor brakes....

Did you know I suggested that there was an untapped supply of drivers in FL? SSB was the first on board. But in considering his whining it had me thinking it would remain untapped. Silly me for ssb...

 

Are you saying the whining was an issue, but the beeching and moaning was acceptable? (BMW...it's a matched set)

Qualified drivers in FL aren't the issue, freight at an acceptable rate is the major stumbling block about Florida. We have a lot of freight if the company needs to take a loss for a tax deduction.

@radioshark I'm delivering at Diaz foods 5501 Fulton Industrial Blvd SW, Atlanta, GA 30336 know any good places to park nearby? Looked at the Petro but it has bad reviews and charge a good amount to park.

 

5 hours and counting at Bama Dough has pretty much nailed the coffin on getting far enough down the road to do a 34 before delivery friday. Im still in a crappy chain reaction that started Monday night. My Michaels Foods drop and hook was a drop and wait. Already tight schedule made impossible since I was much later getting on the road which ended up meaning later for 2nd drop today which made me late for this pick up = 5+ hours here and I'm sure no chance of detention and now no 34.

Not sure what they are planning for me from Aurora. Think there is any chance I can deliver early at McLane in Aurora?
