It all went well at the Garner NC delivery. 15:30 appt, rolling out empty just past 16:00. Next load does indeed p/u in Goldsboro headed for Springfield. Fargo pulled a rabbit out of their hat this pay cycle. Even with the couple days sitting over the holiday waiting to deliver, once I am empty in Springfield, I will have 5400+ miles on this check, sooo...it wasn't my usual disaster of a week.
I decided to detour to Kenly before picking up in Goldsboro. I needed laundry done, and was tired of taking whorebaths. Has anyone seen what they're doing to the Kenly Petro (which use to be a T/A the last time I was thru this area)? Major building expansion going on. It's looking like the Iowa80 folks are trying to make it an east coast version of the Walcott building.

SSB, have you already picked up at Mission? If not, when you leave I'd suggest that you take US70 to I795 and run I795 up to 264 and then hit I540 around Raleigh and that way you can avoid construction and the other Raleigh BS.

And smart move not going to Mission too early. I HAVE been loaded early there.... But it's so rare it doesn't pay to risk the clock. We used to deliver next door at Pate Dawson a lot when they had the Bojangles acct. (Mclanes in Concord NC has that now) I would driver at 4-5 am, pull out to that cul D sac get a few winks, go check in at Mission and wait it out... Cause you didn't need to start the clock.... -
