I don't mind multiple stops if I can get them all on the same day or significant miles between stops.
It's the 4 stops over 2 days with no miles to speak of that's messed up. $90 in stop pay doesn't remotely compensate for 2 days work. When I get those now, I ask for layover pay right off the bat and generally get it. It's not as good as two days of full driving, but it makes a HUGE difference.

Mine is all 4 between Sunday night and Monday night and reload on Tuesday. I have an extra pick up too, so it's $120 in extra drop pay... Plus about 300 miles in between all the stops added up... Should be an interesting use of my HOS....
I don't mind the multi stop loads. I just don't want it to self destruct when I am going on vacation on Sunday the 3rd. Will be home on Friday the 1st... -
My family's biggest holidays are Xmas and Independence Day. I missed Xmas home this year cause I only started on Dec 7th. NOT going to miss the 4th. My family are all veterans, as are most of our friends. It's a wild day, with morning celebrating my (soon to be) 10-year-old grand-nephew's b-day, afternoon barbecuing an generally making pigs of ourselves, and evening starting with a prayer of thanksgiving, followed by fireworks fit to rival most small town's displays. -And drinking. LOT'S of drinking, especially after the kids have been bundled off. -Which is why my return date is the 6th. Cause I'll be in no shape to pick up a load on the fifth.

Im from Greensboro North Carolina and been looking into Magnum and from what I've been reading sounds like a great company. Would anyone like to explain more about the performance pay and how that works.
-
It depends on whether you come to the company with prior experience or not.
Based on what a brand new driver just told me, he's making 40 CPM after 10 months (Including a month with a trainer).
A lot of us are making 45-47 CPM, but we're not rookies either.
Performance pay is based on:
Idle Time
MPG
Miles per month
Late times
Tickets
Accidents/incidents -
Ok there are a number of points assigned to your 4 month average on miles, safety, your CSA scores, etc. These points help establish a pay level, the largest score comes from how many miles you average. You get points deducted for not having a haz mat certification, but otherwise it's all about your performance.
You run hard here you will typically make $0.48-$0.49 per mile after your first 4 months (experienced drivers) or 6 months for new CDL drivers....
