Main Street closed after truck collides with Dexter railroad bridge

There is a very strong possibility that the truck driver, who was driving for Con-Way Truckload, may have his commercial driver's license, (CDL), revoked, either permanently or temporarily. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

 

I'm pretty sure that was his last day at con-way. It amazes me that this kind of stuff happens all the time, just wondering what the heck he was thinking its clearly posted. If you want to see a bunch of these go to youtube

Wow... it does amaze that this happens so often... I am so hyper aware of clearences... I still duck my head .. and the are times when my stomach jumps when I read "CAUTION LOW CLEARENCE" .. even though it is one I have been under several times before... it just amazes me that a driver could just drive head on under...

Glad no one was hurt... with the exception of the drivers career...

Also.. just because it was a Con-Way trailer doesnt mean it was a Con-Way driver... I work for Werner and we have a dedeicated account that only pulls Con-Way frieght and often pull their trailers....
I really hope it was not a werner driver... if so, the driver will be fired.... we have gotten a few qualcomm messages about low clearences....

 

But, the other driver on the CB radio told him, "It's ok driver, trucks run through there all the time."

Think they just have the driver cab cam ...which would be good too ... Looks like he was haulin butt too as he pealed that back like a ripe banana
