Understood. I’m about sick of OK and TX, and MO permits. Either impractical, or avoiding invisible construction, and running me through construction zones requiring splitting lanes - with little to no warning.

if you don’t care to follow the permit — take 610 south to 30A, make the right, and straight on in. I’m 90% sure that underpass is north of 15’ tall if not more.

the route from 225 is as listed — Goodyear, lawndale, central, Manchester. It’s not a bad route, and I really don’t think it’s any extra time if they route you into Houston from the east. It’s bumpy but our triple 3s do it with ease…

I’m coming from the north - I think I’ll just run the 30A exit into it - thanks for the extra input about the guard shack.

Ain’t been down here for a while.

Well, didn’t get a call about bail, so that’s good.
Then we have had no news as to the success of delivery.

This aging fat little trucker was drenched in sweat after getting the tarps off and squared away. The port employees were pretty helpful, folding and rolling tarps.

@stwik - you're right, it's a little disorienting if you've not been there before. 30A was a little 'snug', guardrails both side - and that overpass was 14'6 or so.

The lady in the office tried to do the "It's got hazmat, so we can't hold it at the terminal, they have to load it directly on the ship - and we don't know when the ship is going to get here - here's your paperwork back" - which lead to a flurry of phone calls to get her straightened out, wasted about 30 minutes.

Respect to anyone that deals with Houston on a regular basis, it's been so long since I've been there, it's mayhem.

Good to see you made it out of there. I asked wife how much we had on the credit card balance. She just stared at me. I just said Blair. She walked away shaking her head. Thanks for saving my marriage. :p
