My company does not require us to make any notations when fueling. The system will automatically note fueling somewhere in the ether when the Comdata transaction closes but we never see anything one our ELDs.

As long as there is at least 5 minutes of on duty within 5 minutes of when the pump records the fuel time, you're fine. The computer audit programs won't catch any falsification. Outside of that, you'll probably have to do some splainin to Ricky -

Who has ever had DOT ask about when you fueled? I never have so I was just curious.

But it’s not typical
As for the rule making status on the op...Seems to me the agency is lost on their other rules...From what I’m reading here
Most of the commenters have/use e-logs
Which always for minute by minute logging
Whereas until e-logs everything was done in 15 minute increments due to the form of paper logssevenmph Thanks this.
