Do you have a cdl? Does it have a auto restriction on it? And either way, your not gonna pass a company road test.... if you have a full cdl, with no restrictions, find someone, person or company to train you. If not, megas are the only ones that will consider you...

If your license isn't restricted, and it's a carrier which does training, they'd probably throw you in with a trainer. But, their recruiters could tell you this more certainly.
Before you get too worked up over manuals and autoshift transmissions, just remember that, in the end, everything dies, no matter the transmissions they used.

 

Yeah get someone to teach you a manual transmission. I driven for many years, always had a 10 and 13 speed manual, prefer like I've had now 13 speed manual, they gave me an automatic a few years back, I said it's either Me or your automatic,they gave me back a 13 speed manual. I did have an 18 speed manual years back, it was nice on the west coast. It's a drivers preference but don't get limited to just an auto, there are companies that offer both, even though several of the meggas..have gone the way of autos. My opinion of course, but I will quit if I was forced to drive an auto .
