More like 86% of wanna be flatbedders go off to die slowly behind the wheel of a van. Extra work, haha. It's called exercise.

Crackerman, back to your question as to why Maverick is treating most of their seniority drivers the worst? Do you think it has to do with job related injuries for drivers that are over 40? A number , very high number of Maverick drivers are getting injured and claiming workman compensation this could be a reason why a few seniority drivers are leaving.

I got my brand-spankin-new CDL right here and I been a-reading these here forums and I'm a pretty fart smeller so says my momma, and strong so says my sister so I'm gonna git me jumpstart on all these box yankers and go straight to company flatbed driver and start my trainee inductrinations with that there Maverick outfit cuz everyone says flatbedders make more money. Dang I'm so smart I scare myself.

Seriously if a company flatbed driver isn't making 50cpm + acc he is only doing his company a favor.
Now hourly paid company flatbedder would be sweet gig. -
Let me tell you something, I met a guy who has been pulling reefers for the last 5 months. He sits so much that his feet are swollen to the point of not being able to get them inside of his work boot. This happens because you are not receiving sufficient exercise or blood-flow to your lower extremities.
Moral of the story? It takes a real man to be able to get out of the truck, tarp his own load despite the heat or cold. What kind of man opens his doors and then sits his fat ### down in the sleeper and eats twinkies?
You're complaining about the work like its a bad thing! -
I've seen the morbidly obese pulling flatbed, exercise every 2-3 days isn't going to keep you in shape. Maintaining a healthy diet, daily exercise (and I'm not talking about no tarp shingles) is what is going to keep you healthy. It's really easy to say van/refer drivers are fat/unhealthy and I'm gonna do flatbed because of the exercise, but it's not really like that. Chose to be healthy or don't, doesn't matter what you pull.
Texzonie Thanks this. -
Hey, I'm sittin here in the sleeper munchin on hot dogs, doughnuts, tater chips, and slurpin down way too much soda, but I have the metabolism of a chihuahua on crack.

So thats whats wrong with the neighbors dog.......

So your basically saying if you don't pull a flatbed, your not a real man?
Moral of the story? Wait lemme guess...your husband goes out and earns a living while you live in la la land. Nice gig but doesn't all of that sitting around make you fat?
