May Trucking. Good to start

Are you thinking of going with them? I can't remember. It was a long time ago.
Yeah, I can't be around smoke at all. makes me sneeze, wheeze, etc.

 

I am currently working on being able to pass a D.O.T. physical. I had once looked into May Trucking.

I'm a trainer at May (non smoker and don't accept smoking students). Mind telling me what terminal you went to?

May has numerous terminals and they all operate kind of independently even though same company. That's why I'm asking.

 

I'm the exact same way, why I don't allow tabacco use of any kind on my truck.

 

Well, had the first service done on my NEW (as in brand new) 2018 truck and it had a wheel seal leak on the front right steer. Went to Feeightliner in Nashville to be repaired under warranty. Got out of there in 4 hours. I can live with that.

I deliver in City of Industry, CA Thursday @ 0430. That'll give 2900 miles for the week.

Haven't taken any students all summer although I had one begging to go out with me when I left home this time.

Nice kid, but there's a reason I don't take students in the summer. I would burn them out of the truck. I'm extremely cold nature and idle VERY little. In fact, I idle so little I've racked up over $400 in idle bonus just this summer. Lol

I told him to go home and wait until November and then he could go with me. Lol

Actually, what happened is I had to have some recall work done on my POV and the dealer is about a mile from our terminal and since I live about 45 minutes away I asked my boss if safety could use some help that day. They said yes so I spent the day teaching the class how to pretrip our trailers (reefer), how to run the reefer, how to put on chains and cables (we have both), etc...

I guess I made an impression. All the students wanted to go out with me, but the one littlerally begged. The others smoked so they understood when I declined them, but the one.... He was like "You won't burn me out man. I want you to teach me. You're so thorough and your super nice".

I actually regret not taking him. But I do think I would've burned him out of the truck. Lol

 

I've been with this company since April and I can say the lies and the trash pay is an issue of and they get pissed if you used personal convince like you're supposed to I have to constantly fight with them to get a load going east they give me multiple bs excuses why it's not a good idea yet I'm all 48 and only stuck in the west and I like to stay out for months on end and they say if you go to the east you'll be out there for a week great I don't go home for a few months but the pay is #### they lie saying you can make a lot of you hit you're bonuses but it's really like if they allow you to hit you're bonus which is only a select few people in the company that do hit a bonus
