You were making enough for the cup and sauce. Now, you can afford the shrimp to put in it!

It is good to know basic fixes to get you off the side of the road and to a nearby shop. Most stuff that is going to break while driving can most likely be temporarily fixed so u are not stranded. But this means carrying basic tools and parts to fix stuff. Which most drivers dont bother to do that. So they sit on the road for hours upon hours waiting for a road call.

Yes, I don't like that exactly. I am a person of action that I like to fix things by myself. I can learn many things about mechanics, I am very handy. But I don't think I can use a truck wheel to make a change, it seems very heavy to me. And that of staying for hours on the road, besides being dangerous, it is not very practical.
However, I have been given some practical advice and I really appreciate it.

If you can change your own oil, you are ahead of alot of people. Quite a few dont even know how to open the hood of their car.

D.Tibbitt, AramatAz, spindrift and 3 others Thank this.

I think your goal should be that after you gain experience get on with a company that will pay you for all you do..including breaking down.

Are you near Phoenix or Tucson? The reason I ask is because both cities have excellent cdl schools.
    ~
The state of Arizona will pay for cdl school, free to you, through the WIOA Program/Arizona.

If you do a private school, you'll have a dozen or so companies to choose from.

    I'm 5' 2" 150lbs. I fix tires by driving to a mechanic or calling for a mechanic.
