This thread is proof of one thing...everyone needs a cause to fight for on a public forum. I'll sit on the fence and watch as I can see both sides and neither is worth fighting for. They can be annoying but 3 years of sleeping with an M60 as my pillow with tanks rolling by my head, literally less than 10' at times, has made me immune to a lot. As for the safety thing, would insurance companies steer ya wrong? Seriously tho, I'm sure they have a purpose tho probably overated in many cases, situations. Do I feel the need for one? Nope.

Well I woukd just wait till they got to sleep good or when I got up in a few hours and bust my train horns open for about a second and pull on out of my spot! Lmao!

 

I couldn't stand being in a small hotel room with some whose snoring sounded like a chainsaw ripping through wet wood, but I was never bothered by the sounds I heard outside when I was parked in a truck stop.

 

Why would you do that, just to be stupid I assume. The sad thing you blame the driver for the alarm that the company attach to the truck. I hate those reefers unit Which they constant run all night . But I would never wake early just to irratate the driver.. I'm glad I am a hard sleeper, no 5 second back up beeper would wakes up but a constant reefer noise is a different story
