Recruiter just quoted me an average of $1.90/mi to the truck out of the Midwest for flat/step freight. Any truth to this?

 

Seems a tad low but they have the #s and it seems they always quote a tad low here. But it is an average and just cause I pull for more in that area doesn't mean everyone will.

Our recruiters are very honest.

 

Thanks! I am looking for options after the first of the year. These guys so far towards the top of the list.

 

What cj said. If anything, they are quoting you a low worse case scenario.

 

I like that! I always budget my operations costs on a conservative "worse case scenario". I would rather have a higher than expected ROI than wonder how I am going to make payroll.

 

That's exactly how i do it to. Lowball expected revenue and high ball expected expenses.
