There is a good thread on starting out with Mercer, sounds like the inspection is pretty thorough.

it is a thorough inspection, you can pass any scalehouse inspection after one.

Make sure your ABS is working correctly, that was a big problem with my orientation group. (If equipped)

They look for rust lines showing any loose bolts.
They look hard for hoses rubbing each other or rubbing the frame rail.
They check your dash abs light coming on and going out correctly. (And they don't take kindly to a switch on the light). Don't ask how I know that.
They look hard but don't make up crap either.
Also don't allow wigwag lights or sunvisors lower than 6 inches or is it 5 inches?Bigdubber and exhausted379 Thank this. -
I just went through it and it was a full inspection....But i must say it was professional and fair they found 1 item with the trailer the tape on the ICC bar was worn out and they handed me a piece of the tape for free.....on the truck the right front shock was blown and the left rear axle seal was leaking now i just put new breaks and drums on the truck before i left to sign on and the truck did sit for 6-9 months before i bought it when i did the breaks the seal wasn't leaking or i would of replaced it there were other trucks that had a longer list to do. my assessment it was a good proses and very fair and honest
77fib77 Thanks this.
