I've dropped it for now. I should be getting a new cordinator next week.

This biggest deal they had against me is that I'm not a company cheerleader, I do not go Rah Rah, I don't look good in Pom Poms, nor do I bleed Mercer blue.

I am with Mercer. I am not going to deny their actions or defend them. But this has been mentioned many many many times on this forum. If people search & research this forum think they should, they will find the information they need to make a educated decision.

I guess they will have to live with it.

You are your own boss not them.

One of the reasons I rarely mention where I am leased to and so on.

I remember that...It was when Mercer "purged" a bunch of whiners and lazy drivers that didn't want to run or had crappy equipment or were otherwise a burden to the company.

I was sittin' next to a guy that got his lease terminated while sitting in Salt Lake City...His truck and trailer looked like candidates for the junk yard and the driver didn't look much better!

That was Mercers way of takin' out the trash!

It wasn't pretty but it worked.

that is exactly the case. Plus, freight in early 2008 was at the lowest levels it has ever been. Why have trucks if you don't have the freight?

What better time to get rid of the dead weight then when freight levels are down?
Every driver that I've met that was let go at that time seems to be one of "those" drivers...

There isn't anything OOIDA could do about a private company making financial based decisions.

Why after 3 years do you bring this up? Are you still holding a grudge?

I know of at least 2 O/O's that I know personally who had their leases cut. They were called back to Mercer earlier this year.

I will tell you something we were not trash and our truck was not trash and I do not think everyone that works there now is crooked but you act like we are trash and we are not, The so called Mercer agents were in California even said this was wrong and a forum is to say what is on your mind ,but I guess we are called trash and the crooks like Carmichael stealing money for ten years and facing jail working there at Mercer I guess she is a saint and to top it off it probably is some of our hard earned money. I guess to, the people like the coordinators, John that handled the trailer leases he and the recruiters that was fired all were trash to huh? ONE MORE THING THE TRUCKS CAN NOT BE TRASH MERCER INSPECTS THEM AND THEY HAVE TO BE A CERTAIN YEAR.

Whatever , I can tell you do not realize we had brand new equipment from buying it at Mercer and you really can not know how your truck has to have good equipment before you get out the gate. YOUR SO CALLED DEAD WEIGHT YOU ARE REFERRING TO HAS A GOOD RECOMMENDATION NOW FROM MERCER SO YOU SEE YOU REALLY DO NOT KNOW THERE SYSTEM.,AND I HOPE THAT THIS SAVES SOMEONE DOWN THE LINE FROM BEING TREATED LIKE THIS. I CAN TELL YOU ONE MORE THING THAT FREIGHTLINER CLASSIC I HAVE IS A BEAUTIFUL TRUCK AND I AM A WOMAN THAT CAN DRIVE A FLATBED AND CAN STRAP AND TARP AND I SURE AM NOT A SISSIE WE BOTH TEAM MY HUSBAND AND I, SO WHOEVER THE GUY YOU WAS SITTING BY IN SALT LAKE YOU REMEMBER HE HAD A FAMILY AND THIS WAS UNCALLED FOR HOW PEOPLE WERE DONE
