Don't be so hard on yourself.

Now, go look in a mirror. It's supposed to help.

I don't know maybe I'm dumb.. But if you get over 1.60 into Cali and more than 1.40 out that's an average of 1.50 round trip smh @Truckin_Texas91411

I believe he stated that he always gets over those amounts. So his low end might be 1.5 but what's his high end?

There is a small problem when using numbers. And this coming from a huge numbers guy.

They need to be put in perspective. For example, 1800 on a 3 day work week running 1200 miles. I'm a happy camper with that. Obviously that won't work for a guy that just went out and bought a brand new truck and only put a minimum down on it so he has a 2700 monthly payment. But for many of us that have hung on to our trucks a few years, and capable of doing the maintenance ourselves, that's not bad after fuel money at all. I've stated many times on this thread that I aim for 2200/week after fuel on under 2k miles. But again, perspective. I'm 38 years old, and basically semi retired. I only worked 5 months last year. my last truck payment was in 2007, my home is paid for(a #### nice house at that), and we are not one of those people that need a new car every two years, my 04 f150 still runs and looks great.

That's why I said the ballpark of 1.50.. Cause 1.80 in and 1.60 out is 1.70 round trip.. When I made me statement I was just stating what I've personally experienced and others who do very well here experience.. But it might be the low end who knows

I never said you were dumb. But if I average over 1.70 round trip would you still be shaking your head? Should I be shaking my head? Not sure why you are shaking your head so much. Sitting in Houston, TX come on by.

Well of course 1800 on a half a week with no payment and no other bills at home is great.. But realistically most people have the added house bills and may have a truck payment big or small so that 1800 isn't a good number but it can work.. Just better be able to do all your work on the truck yourself lol

Dude, a buck seventy average, long haul on a van is about as good as its ever going to get. expecting to average more on coast to coast type runs is not realistic. Not in today's market.
