Ya but an old timer like you probably has some fancy trailer. Us working guys got the cheap great Danes with cheap boxes. Im pretty sure mine are 24. That's what I'm building for anyway, it can't be any shorter than that. And if it's taller my top shelf will have more space.

Lots of straps and padding. Just a pain with multiple stops.

My old coordinator said: Steve, you wouldn't like hauling lifts. He had other trucks that didn't mind hauling them. We knew each other well, worked with each other many years. He got old and retired

I have hauled them several times, I have always managed to not untarp the entire lead. I just lift up one side side,Get off what I need, hang tarp back down and bungee , do the straps the same way.

For how many stops they have and the extra time that adds, and the pain in the ### they are. they want them moved way to cheap. there is to many loads in that area that pay with in just a few cpm that won't tie up the truck for half as long.

For example. A load to Miami paying 2.25/mile with 5 to 7 stops. Or bounce 90 miles to Winchester and get a load with no extra stops to Miami paying 2.10/mile. Sure those extra stops add miles and bring the rate up but only by a couple hundred dollars. But that extra two days it adds hurts you in the long run.

Some guys like them, but in my opinion they are a bad load when you look at them as a full package and not just the total revenue.

You got to pick and choose those wisely.
