Ya, when they cut a lot of guys loose, that was true. But they did offer them loads relatively close to their house. It's not like they fired a guy who lived in Florida right after he delivered in San Diego.

If this winter gets as bad as I think it will, we could see a similar thing happen.

First, let's hope this winter isn't THAT bad. LOL. I've talked to both guys that were here then and guys that were cut loose. Seems it was a trimming of the fat. Like getting rid of the bottom 20%. But I wasn't here then so I really don't know. All I can do is try and provide the best service I can and not worry about what I can't control beyond that. Hopefully it's enough to keep me out of that 20%. Lol

Ok so this load out west won't be the most profitable, considering I'm coming back east so cheap. But they are good for the soul. If you ever get a chance to run us 24 south of Vail, do it. That was one amazing ride. Took all day cause I kept stopping to get pictures.

Rates are a bit low out here. If your just heading straight back east it would be painful. I've got the luxury of bouncing around on these military loads for a bit so it's worth it to me.

Never taken 24. Maybe next summer, I don't trust the weather this late in the year. Someone else once told me it was worth the trip. Guess I should try.

I'm bouncing over to Utah for a lead back to Tampa at 1.70 not very good, but the load out here paid really good. had originally planned on bouncing to either, Dallas, ok city, or st louis. if I could do cali, there was plenty of loads paying decent to get there, and decent ones going back east from cali.

I knew going into this I was heading to a horribly bad area. Not a lot is made in the Rockies, so I don't go unless the load in pays to bounce out.

Oh I forget that you can't do Cali. That makes it much harder. 1.7 back to FL isn't great but I suppose it could be worse. And a good load in helps LOL

A jack. That, or blow the bags all the way up, block the sleeper up with wood, then let the air out of the bags. Hint, use the height leveling adjustment valve.
