Ya, when they cut a lot of guys loose, that was true. But they did offer them loads relatively close to their house. It's not like they fired a guy who lived in Florida right after he delivered in San Diego.
If this winter gets as bad as I think it will, we could see a similar thing happen.

Ok so this load out west won't be the most profitable, considering I'm coming back east so cheap. But they are good for the soul. If you ever get a chance to run us 24 south of Vail, do it. That was one amazing ride. Took all day cause I kept stopping to get pictures.
Razorwyr Thanks this. -
Rates are a bit low out here. If your just heading straight back east it would be painful. I've got the luxury of bouncing around on these military loads for a bit so it's worth it to me.
Never taken 24. Maybe next summer, I don't trust the weather this late in the year. Someone else once told me it was worth the trip. Guess I should try. -
I'm bouncing over to Utah for a lead back to Tampa at 1.70 not very good, but the load out here paid really good. had originally planned on bouncing to either, Dallas, ok city, or st louis. if I could do cali, there was plenty of loads paying decent to get there, and decent ones going back east from cali.
I knew going into this I was heading to a horribly bad area. Not a lot is made in the Rockies, so I don't go unless the load in pays to bounce out. -
