Well rates are a bit low ATM. This week was booked up at $1.98 pm all miles which is .40¢ cheaper then a month ago. I did get great money on my load from RI to CA so it has still been worth it. Although I haven't had to grab any of the real cheap freight I do see a lot less of the good paying stuff. A lot of people don't like coming out here, but once I learned to work the board I usually have some real good weeks out here. Biggest trick is to make sure you don't buy fuel in CA. Those prices are way to high. And if your still learning how the load board works I would wait to dip your toes out here until the rates and the freight return. I should be heading back east in the next week or so after I finish this loop and take a few more days off. But running the western board has brought me several of my highest grossing weeks this year. So I can't say I don't like it.

PS. Just remembered your out here right now. Looking at that SoCal board has to make you want to cry.

 

So how is it going? Oh wait, it's like midnight thirty there. LOL

 

It's the worst I've seen since I leased on back in May, but I bet it'll all work out. I just emptied out this afternoon so I'm a ways down on the board. I was planning on trying the western board this time out here but my coordinator says there's lots of steps doing it right now trying to work their way up to those loads in Northern California going back east. Don't think I'm gonna hang around out here this time. May be why you're seeing rates a bit lower than usual.

Nothing exciting. Met my coordinator yesterday. He said everything thing is slow now. Same as what I have been reading here. Everyone is real nice.

 

Well if it was me I would work the board. Those step loads have been running for a month and look like they have most of this month to go. My coordinator tried to get me to take some $1.5 load to TX. Then calls me 10 min later asking how I book a load to nowhere ID and back to Sacramento with only 36 miles DH. It helps to talk to agents.

As for the WS? I was hoping to have it weeks ago. Still waiting.

Um what? Yesterday was in Chesapeake va. Loads was bad in that area. 6 Mercer trucks I was only one to get a load. It's short and needs tarp.

 

LOL last Friday I was matched at 63. 6 would be heaven.

 

I think the agent took the day off lol. Yesterday I did advance search 200 miles not 1 closet load was up in md 230 miles wasn't gonna do that as it didn't pay good. Getting coffee then going to Oxford
