Over the last week I've read this whole post and it's very helpful. I've already been approved through Mercer and been talking to Mercer and Quality about starring in March. If they stop leasing drivers from Quality nobody tolde in the last couple weeks. My recruiter did say they put limits on work history to cut down on turnover?

OK, like I said someone just posted in the last few days that there was a freeze. But by March it could all be resolved anyhow so probably not a factor.

Yeah idk. Quality is just one way I'm looking at anyway. Thanks for saying something though, I will have to check with my recruiter to see if that is an option

I'm not sure you could make $5k and be home every week with the current market. You do live in a good area but high truck payment like Quality will hinder you from getting home often. Now for my advice I'd say wait it out and save up more money that way you could put down 20% on whichever truck you choose and still have at least $10k left over although $10k in my opinion is on the low side when buying a used truck. My buddy at Landstar who just started had $7k left over after down payment then for extra cushion he got a credit card with a $10k limit. He'll prob never use it since he's been running for 3 months and now have a little Capitol put away. My thought is to have at least $35k per truck to operate which should cover the drive train and motor all at one time if need be. If push does come to shove then lone mountain wouldn't be a bad idea but don't go new. Get a used truck and rock and roll.

@CJndaTruck you weren't joking about the high paying freight on the west coast!! I haven't stopped running for the past week & everything is over $3.50/mile! Absolutely loving it, I booked a great military load out next week 2 take me 2 the house for the holidays! Per the usual, It can be done here pulling a box!

If I wasn't on my way home today I would stay out. My phone rings all day asking if I'm available. This might be my best month ever.
