It's definitely an art. You've got it down, no doubt. The best I could muster was 1.7 all miles in a 90 day stretch. Lots of miles and lots of dh. That said I got a guy that parks next to me at home who swears by the van here.
Lol. I'm gonna pull it a little when it gets bone chillin cold.

There is a bit of an art to it.

Picking up a van has crossed my mind more then once. Don't get me wrong, I love flats. And I have the flat system out here down pat now. As @Truckin_Texas91411 stated its all about board position out here. I've been 1 for awhile and knowing that I have to leave and go pick up that truck is killing me. Lol. But I need to get to Louisville anyhow and I've been dragging my feet. Last winter was a dry winter so I didn't really have to deal with frozen tarps. I've already chained this year. I'm sure frozen tarps are just a turkey day away :(. Maybe in a few years when I pay this trailer off ill pickup a van and do the seasonal swap thing. Time will tell.

Trust me, if I could do this all the time I would. Be then I probably wouldn't be married anymore. I take advantage when it's good, then do the family thing.

I'm wishing I could stay out here, these rates are great on the west coast right now, but I'm trying to get home for the holiday. As much as I hate LA, it's tempting to keep me out here.

I'm right there with ya. Just left the TA a few hours ago, picking up at the AFB in a few then back to Ontario by lunch.

I'm actually at the house right now. Delivering at the air base 2.2 miles down the road in an hour or so. Then staying home for a week or so unless a very high paying load comes up. My boy wants to go crabbing this weekend. I keep trying to tell him it's too darn cold to be out on the water. I think I'm gonna lose :(

I got several calls yesterday for Cali and I was under this load to WA. It's good picking right now. Anyone out there should be stocking up. I'm sure it will dry up soon.

How to work the board has been explained many times on here, but the ones that do, get told that they don't know what they are talking about.
