I always deadhead, no matter how far. I can't stand to leave my truck where I have no control over it.

Understandable. I usually find a reason to stick it in the shop. But I have pretty good luck.

I second that. I once bounced home from Washington state once when my back haul got delayed. Just was not going to miss xmas.

Well with the money being thrown around out here right now I'm not sure I'll be able to sit home through the holiday. I'm trying but it's hard. I've already been told that I should leave Monday. Taking the boy out on the boat Saturday for some crabs. Think we are doing turkey on Sunday. But idk I'm still fighting to stay home.

The western board operates a little different. You're position on the main board for a load back east won't get reset if you grab a load that stays in the western 11 states. I do the same thing when I'm home here in Florida. I can run a bunch of short loads that pay good, and not lose my position on the main board for when a good load pops up going north.

Are the short loads only if it doesn't leave your home state?

My Coord explained it to me when I met her. Some loads I'm matched at 28 and some 7. Depends on where it's going
