I'm glad I booked my load running over thanksgiving at the beginning of the month. I watched the board this whole month in California & I definitely made a good decision!!! Moved up from 13th to 3rd for my empty date. Hopefully by the end of this week I'm #1, not like I have the best luck in FL, but then again it's a good time of year to stay busy! Still haven't decided if I'm taking January & February off. Guess I will see what the beginning of the year has to offer.
CJndaTruck Thanks this. -
As far as Centramatics go, I do not like them. I bought two for the steers and four for the rears. Bought all new tires, 8 new steel rims for the rear and had 2 aluminum wheels on front less than a year old. Had the fronts balanced and put the Centramatics on. I bounced around for about a month, re-balancing the steers and clocked the rears.
I finally went to the supposedly best tire guy in the area. His exact words were to throw the Centramatics away or send them back. He spun up the steer tire and the whole truck shook. He then took the centramatic off, balanced the front again, spun it up and the truck was perfectly smooth. He marked how the wheel mounted, dismounted and put the Centramatic back on and spun it up again with the wheel mounted exactly like it was when it was perfectly smooth. The hood looked like it was about to shake off. He said it was turning at appx 75 MPH.
I took all six Centramatics off, had all the tires trued, speed balanced the front, and removed the rear axle shafts and speed balanced those on the truck also. Never rode in a smoother truck in my life. Not cheap tires. The front were Michelin XZA2 and the rear were Bridgestones.
I sold that truck and bought a T600. Before the first trip I put new Michelins all the way around. I ran a month and had the same done to it. Prefectly smooth. I saw with my own eyes that Centramatics did not balance out even a perfectly balanced tire, at least not on my truck. The best thing to do is have the tires trued and speed balanced on the truck. The little bit of rubber cut off will more than pay for itself in a smooth ride. No tire or rim is perfectly round. Truing a tire on the truck makes the whole assemble prefectly round where it meets the road,Last edited: Nov 22, 2015

I was told not to spin balance and use centramatics together , either one or the other.
I have always had much better luck with trueing and spin balanceing -

What is trued vs balanced? I have never heard of trued.

Right, has to be under the specified miles AND when dispatched it has to be coded the right way. Most agents if they are the ones to dispatch you will not do this, it is one reason to have your coordinator dispatch the load then pass you to the agent.
