Yep, but you have to apply for the low mileage use exemption, they just posted the link on the loadboard page, look on the right where all that typing is on the right

The drug store stuff was Sodium Silicate, or liquid glass as it was called. Worked great.

For leaks I use a product called Dike. It's sold at Freightliner and most NAPA stores. Works great and doesn't clog the system. It will wash right out. I had a big cam 300 go from 2 gallons of water a day to under 1 a week. Stayed that way until I sold it. Told the guy about the water deal and Dike and as far as I know he kept using it.

I would usually say no to the bars leak! But @TruckerPete1990 has been nickle and dime'd to death. If it could give him 6 months of running it would be worth it. Give him a chance it get some cash flow going.

    spyder7723 and TruckerPete1990 Thank this.

Sorry for nosing in, but I'm always lurking :)

Pete, if your truck is losing coolant while its sitting, you may have a "cold" leak. As long as everything is warm, no leak, but when you shut down and everything cools off, the clamps loosen, the metal fittings shrink etc. Next time you are shut down overnight and the engine is nice and cool, check all your hose clamps etc. Could be as simple as that. Although a gallon sound like a lot, always do the simple stuff first.

If its not something like that, my money would be on the egr cooler from what I've heard from friends with emissions engines.
