You would probably be very surprised how many at Mercer are completely debt free. My prerequisite to buying a truck was totally debt free, home, vehicles, kids long gone and X amount of liquid cash separate from mine and the wives ira's and her retirement.

 

Honestly none of them were waiting on trailers. Believe it or not most guys didn't have simple stuff done like paid 2290's(if u were an o/o already)
Physicals, twic cards etc.
one guy said he would be there til Friday or even Monday because his recruiter didn't tell him he needed a 2290...I gave him the benefit since this was his first time being a o/o ....lol

These guys here with me getting their trucks couple guys waited
3-5 mos for a trailer.my friend still waiting is there not any trailers there? Thats ready.I'm just waiting on a truck so I can do my 2290 have everything else twic hazmat dot card passport

Interesting for sure. I never had the sack to use anyone else's money for something elective. House, student loans, vehicle, yes. A truck to do something I did twenty years in a company vehicle and earn, no. Like I said, interesting thought.
