Kjoseph. What would you call too high of dead head? I've had months that mine is a high as thirty percent, or more! doesn't help that I live in Florida.

25 to 30 standard. Then o felt the rates weren't near enough to justify it. I mean I came from a near mega at 1.04 a mile plus fsc, their trailer, free tags, they do fuel tax. I felt the responsibility of a trailer, insurance, and tags garnered more than what I was making.

I'll say this, going flat was by far the best and most profitable decision ever and I only wished I had done it the day I signed on.

Just out of curiosity, I searched van freight. Rates are around flat rates now, some better, more worse, but there's a ton of van loads going about anywhere from my searches. A Ton. Ontario, CA Youngstown, oh Charlotte, NC Miami. No van loads on Miami either.
May hafta dust off my turbo wing....

I'm just outside Charlotte now. You say there are a ton of van loads. Maybe it's my settings but picking up tomorrow or Friday looks like garbage to me but it might be I'm too picky.

OK. First, put that suit on, go to the patience gym and get in a good work out. If you're flat, it's January, things are slow. It'll gradually start to pick up towards the end of the month thru March, April and go on from there. You need patience here, it's not a mega where you're lined up thru eternity. Now back to the gym with you!!!
