mercer transportation

Ya I just upgraded to the 6 plus last summer. Except for the mercer app I pity much run everything off my mini iPad

 

Don't know if you scan backup copies of your receipts but I just recently downloaded the tiny scanner app to my phone and it sure beats breaking out the computer

 

The key to iPhone is you gotta stay current with the phone. The 5s barely supports the iOS updates that comes out.

 

I prefer Android OS/Samsung products. Galaxy S5 Active phone and Galaxy Note 2 for my logs

 

I was actually wondering what everyone did for their elogs.

I personally love my Note 5, but obviously wont be using it as my logging device.

However I have an android tablet that i use for practically nothing and figured id use it for my logging device, however it does not and can not have a Sim card in it but i can hotspot my phone to send my logs in, would that be acceptable to Mercer or do I need to go get me an Ipad or something?

They have a tablet available that is locked and used just for l ogs

 

Well I decided to go to new jersey.. lucky me

 

I have an old flip phone, nice laptop computer and use mifi for internet. Doing this forum, using the contractor web and scanning paperwork is at the upper limits of my skill.

So help some of us older slower guys out. What phones or tablets are you guys using for Mercers ELD. I assume the tablet needs phone service and not just wifi.

So if I walked into verizon or best buy tomorrow, what should I buy. Remember in this aspect, I am just as ignorant as a new truck driver school graduate, looking to buy a bran new truck.

I have no clue............
