I agree, on a 4k week gross I usually take 2 to 2.2k net, but the gross numbers can give me an educated guess on how I would do with that much gross.

However as I still have a truck payment, I tend to stay out for 2 weeks then go home for a 34 hr reset up to 4 days off. Then right back to the grind.

I'm really starting to be a slacker. I think I've hauled 5 loads since before Christmas. I've been home all week and am starting to get restless. Just not restless enough for these non paying loads in WA. Maybe after the super bowl I'll get a little motivated. Eh maybe not.

CJ you just bought a truck didn't you? I'm guessing you bought it out right or pre-planned to take a bit of time off and have the spare cash in your bank account.

Cj has learned how to work the board to maximize revenue on the least amount of work. Basically, he drank the koolaid and got mercerized.

I did just buy this. I had planned on taking time off over the holidays but now I'm just plain lazy.

I have two years of truck payments sitting in the bank so I can afford not to have the wheels turning 24/7. Also my first two loads paid all my expenses for the first two months so it's not like I am having to live off my savings right now. I always believe in paying my business first before I ever see a penny. And it's not like it cost a ton to sit at the house. I'm actually finally burning some of the wood I have had sitting in the back yard for the last three years. Talk about well seasoned. Lol

I've tried talking to numerous o/o about how I handle the revenue to the truck and people act like I am retarded for it.

I pay myself a set salary of $900 a week no matter what. (My personal bills are way less than that) and every thing over the 900 sits in the business account until I decide to take some time off or need to pay a truck payment out of pocket. Most of the guys I know (which all have way more experience than me) don't do this.

Honestly thinking I'm doing it wrong I guess...
