Hmmmm I only have 14 winches / 4" straps. I never thought about getting a bunch more. Where do you get the 2" straps?

Anywhere that sells equipment for flats. The mercer store also has them. 12 bucks a piece if i remember right.

That place in fox lake used to be my go to place for loads out of upper Wisconsin. But about two years ago they cut the rates so bad i just keep on going south to chicago. 6 stops for a buck fifty a mile just doesn't cut it.

I haven't pulled out of there quite that cheap, but it may also be where I run. I usually have 3 or 4 drops, at 1.75 or better. Gross out above 2k and drop asap. So normally I run over to New England and back 2-3 days one way with a day off in between. I prefer the skylights out of Wausau, but the Fox Lake runs aren't bad as long as you are willing to go to no man's land. They were down in the 1.40 or so range this winter though.

Many people have told me Texas is a horrible place for freight & I usually agree for the most part. But as usual I go home for a week & I grabbed a load paying just under $2/mile. The benefit of me living here has its perks so of course I was #1 on the board, but the #2 guy almost got it as I wasn't sure I was ready to go back to work. Simply put Texas will surprise the ones who don't have faith in the freight in Texas....

Nope, not joking. Unless it goes to new england it is a garbage rate. And to be quite honest, i feel the ones going to new england are a garbage rate cause running 90 all the way across eats so much of the rate up.

A couple years ago they paid much much better.
