I'm new to Cummins. What's it leaking coolant??

 

On 2004 and newer trucks, not just Cummins, All have EGR, except CAT, the EGR cooler has coolant running thru it to cool the exhaust gas before entering the intake.

 

Thanks. I knew about the egr being on Cummins and Detriots 04 and up but when he mentioned about it leaking coolant o figure I need to be more educated about the egr but I always knew that if I got a Cummins which I do now then I'd take care of my egr but now I'm procrastinating lol

Egr cooler is leaking into the line that feeds the combustion air. I take the boot off its wet. So I'm putting water in the radiator, since antifreeze eats bearings. I have 400/miles till I drop.
