Well, I read every single page and have to say it was more than worth the effort.

Seems a lot has changed in the transport industry since I left the US back in 99. It looks like it will be an interesting experience when I get back.

Thank you to all those who have posted in this thread providing your knowledge and experience not only with Mercer, but the industry as well.

I look forward to reading more.

It's funny how nobody understands how much good info is in this thread UNTIL the read the whole thing. It is well worth the read.

 

Did me a downtown Pittsburgh PA crane run, drop it tmrw in KY, then I get to swing thru Mercertown to grab 12 more ratchets and straps cause my Wednesday load requires 21 straps.....

Is that a load out of Fox Lake, WI? They aren't bad loads, but you will want 2-4 ratchet straps for the corners, the rest can be straps with winches on the trailer if it is

 

And they drop the straps thru the load for you

 

I guess you would need a few portable winches?
