    yes its thats or wait 2-3weeks here when the shop in lowell can get in me soon as i get there:p

    Did you do a trailer swap? If so, How does that work the other driver having your trailer and you his? Just curious.

    Insurance is supposed to pay for your repair and down time, plus should pay you to get home to the shop. I had my hood taken almost off years ago. I got all of that.

    International hoods are expensive, and the grills are insane. That's what my truck was. I think the parts 15 years ago were around 7-8 thousand, plus labor and down time.

    I lucked up and found an almost brand new complete hood cheap at a junk yard a few days after the insurance check cleared my bank. It was so close to the color of my truck I drove it without painting it for a while.

    Am i allowed to do that? lol If insurance cuts me a check for 10,000 and a hood cost me 3,000 i can keep the rest?

    As long as you own the truck out right, you get the check. I got a little over 14k and I fixed it myself for less than 3k. Thought it was going to cost a lot more until I found the hood. Me and the insurance company looked over three states for a used hood. I got a lead on one after I was paid. They had just got the truck with the hood in. It was less than 75 miles from me.
