Never freaking fails. Huge empty parking lot, go way in the back so far in not even in the same zip code, and a rattling falling apart reefer with with Canadian plates parks beside me. Heavy accent from a region known for blowing up coffee shops and killing their young female relatives, ask him what he has on. Chicken. Oh you mustt of loaded that over in south Carolina. Yep. Ya taking it back to Canada? No its going to Texas.

These guys never face consequences for breaking the trade agreements regulations but if we was to do it up there our trucks would be confiscated.

So you didn't just snatch the $$$ load out of Ft Worth I just had to turn down? I would grab one of those cheap (to me) loads going to Ohio. You need to get out of this area until you learn when the loads are coming out. That Ft Worth load for tomorrow was prime.

Cj, i just saw him post in the why do some fail thread. He is new, with a step deck Conestoga. That's an awfully specialized piece of equipment right there. The best thing he can do is get on the phone with every agent we got and make sure they know he has this type of trailer so they can get some work for it.

Yep. trust me I know. it takes a lot of legwork to get to the point of making money with one of these things. Call ahead and get the agent looking. Once they know you it gets easy but they have to get to know you.

Yep. It's not like a flat. You can't just run off the board. You need agents booking loads specifically for you.

    "There's no good freight" ....

under 5000 lbs pays 2.74/mi been sitting since first thing this morning ... WHY?

    let's review the "I - don't - do " policy of so many of our drivers ...

    I don't - tarp .....
    I don't - go to Canada ....
I don't - go to NYC or Long Island

well, that' explains why the load is sitting. I'd grab it if my new truck was legal for ON and QC. Meanwhile I'm still stuck trying to get BullyDog to figure out why I cannot set the speed limiter in my truck with their ECM tuner. It's about to go back for a refund. Rather disappointed in their tech support so far.

I had a great week lined up and it all turned to crap. Had a good paying load down to sc. Booked one up to ky, then another od load to Michigan. Got delayed at my shipper yesterday a good 5 hours plus ran into a 4 hour delay on 85 in North Carolina. Those added up to not being able to get my first load off in time to make the loading appointment on the load going to ky. So i went from a full week booked at stellar rates to empty in a bad market with no load on a Wednesday afternoon. Ugh. Ah well that's trucking for ya. I'm just glad they were able to cover the od load so i didn't have to deadhead 450 miles up to it. It didn't pay THAT good. But i made sure the agent knew i would if he couldnt get another truck on it.

man that stinks. I'm taking some time off but had a real hard time turning down that load out of Ft Worth for tomorrow. TBH I thought MI38 would get it as I thought they were in the Dallas area. it was light and paid good but they probably gave it to a flat with tarps.

We went sent to Norman OK last night for a good paying load out east. When we went to load this am they wouldn't load the Conestoga.
