MY trailer is a whopping $535/month. My low rate and your low rate is more than likely different. "If you don't like it leave", comes with the territory of leasing to a carrier.

Van that's the best post you have ever made.

Reminds me of an encounter i had about 6 months or so ago while getting fuel. A guy came up and asked how i liked it here and if i had been here long. I said something like 'it is what it is, rates are down but they are down every where, changing names on the side of the truck won't change that'. He asked me how bad the rates were and i told him the rate on that load i had and how a couple years ago the sake load paid 800 more. He responded with that's 60 cpm more than anything i have pulled in a year.

    Have a question
On tarping is the tarping pay based on the size of the tarp??

It's all about what the agent has negotiated with the customer. No set rate. Obviously it is easier to negotiate more money on a bigger piece that requires bigger tarps and more work so typically 8ft drops will pay more than 4 ft drips.

    Another question
when it calls for a 6ft tarp the load must be fully tarped and I have to put a 4ft tarp to cover the rest is that extra

dont think so? Do you mean basicly it becoming a 10ft drop then? Or you mean long ways? If its long ways no cuz you are paid to tarp the load lol

Why would it be? If you hired a carpenter to build an extension on your house would you pay him extra to buy a hammer? If it calls 6 ft tarps it is your responsibility to have enough tarps to cover the entire load. If in doubt ask for dimensions.
