I call 888- 808-8473, the lady said mercer please hold.
Like I stated earlier, Ronald wasn't listening, only talking. Never asked about my driving record, only if I had recent flat experience.
I was thinking the yard must be packed with vans.
Sounded odd to me too, the way you guys carry on here. I read all 1900 pages on the TTR.
Feel free to call and ask. I called around 8:50am out of Omaha, NE.

Sounds like Mercer rents trailers now. Seems like that would work on the van side. But not as much on the flat. Although I can see how it would.
(Darn I wrote this like an hour ago. Darn send button)donkeyshow72 Thanks this. -
No more escrow on trailers that's why it's 585...

So today marked my fastest turn around from the west coast I think. I planned on spending a little time out here and working the board for a bit. Anyway, I unloaded this morning and was working with my fav agent out here on a string of loads we started putting together last week. Long story short, I the middle of that the agent says hold on. Next hing I know I'm loading 11miles from my drop and heading off the western board. I had a pretty good week lined up too.
So .30¢ pm more then the load we where filling in to going to (basically) the same place and only 10k vrs 40k. WIN! Best part? I didn't have to buy any CA fuel. WIN! WIN! I love the IFTA system here.Big John Classic HQ, Home_on_wheels and Razorwyr Thank this. -
So, I'm an idiot. I came back to work yesterday with an oversize export load. While dealing with securing the load, trying to get my permits, getting put in the port system, etc all at the same time, they bring me the paperwork. Somehow the bills made it in my truck, but the export papers didn't (I think I left them on the load). So now I'm sitting at my final twiddling my thumbs while they have another truck en route with the same load bringing my paperwork. However, he was caught by curfew 300 miles out. So yay, good day at work ahead while I have to call the agent for my next load and see if i can work something out, since I won't be there to get it by 2.

So, I was taken off my next load, got one picking up tomorrow, only to find out that I could have gotten unloaded first thing this morning, they didn't need the export papers, they had a copy already....

If they are renting full service rather than lease purchase it may be a step toward drop and hook and establishing trailer pools at shippers. kind of like what Landstar does, but better. Van freight is much more dependent on dropped trailers than flatbed. -
CJndaTruck Thanks this.
