Years ago, heck it's been so long soon i can say decades ago, i used smooth stainless to cover the frame all the way back. Looks sharp, but in winter up north you better keep your life insurance up to date, that stuff is slippery. That's why i am gonna use something else this go around. Just gotta make up my mind about what.

Spyder, back in my carpenter days we used Ipe, also known as Brazilian Walnut although its not in the Walnut family, for high end decking on custom homes. It is extremely dense and durable. Ipe was used for the NY Coney Island Boardwalk and lasted for 25 years before it had to be replaced.

Its not very expensive but it is wicked brutal on saw blades and drill bits. It can't be nailed and every fastener needs to be pre-drilled. We had a customer who wanted a raised wood floor in an outdoor shower. It was about 3x6 feet and for traction I cut a shallow kerf checkerboard pattern on top 45 degrees to the board direction that almost looked like gunstock checkering. Its not slippery when its wet but the home owner was concerned it would be if soap got on it.

Google Ipe for more information and pictures of the color and grain. Cost is considered "medium" and requires no finishing; it is considered maintenance free.

Money Bags huh? Well I don't know about that. As for secret handshakes? If picking up a phone and communicating with agents about what you can and can't do or what you would like to do is some sort of "secret" then I guess I'm guilty of that. I really must be horrible at keeping secrets tho cause I've said here more than once what the secret is. I suppose I'll get the boot from that club.

Yes but it let's your engine breathe much better. That directly translates into more power and better fuel consumption.
