You all are making my head hurt. And this is the slow season? I haven't noticed much of a change all year. And we are missing military freight? Last I looked there was plenty. Also it's the holidays. Over yhe next few weeks 50% of our forces will be on leave. My 20 years of service we stood down EVERY year come this time.

Anyway you all got a good laugh out of me. You did make my head hurt tho. Good stuff.

Hey now. I only worked on it 3 days this month. 4 hours of actual working on it. I tried to stretch it out a while week but got a call on a very good load so had to go finish it that third day.

 

Hey Pete, you may really want to look at your maintenance cost vrs a new truck. I'm not saying to get a new truck at all. But if your spending $2-3k a month on repairs and you add in down time it's a no brainer. I'm about 2 weeks shy of a year with this thing and it's been in the shop 3 times. All minor things that I could schedule on my time. 1 was the truck wash denting the side of my sleeper. Had the work done while the conestoga was being put on so no extra down time (3 days for both). 2 was a week of warranty work while I had a step painted and installed that I had damaged. 3 was just a couple weeks ago when the I had them finish the warranty work (new cabnets, flooring and carpets and the hood painted) while I had them install some chrome and stuff. Point is not once have I been broke down. I got to say when and where the repairs happened. I've missed no loads (well agents have called while in the shop with great loads but what you going to do?).

Anyway you probably should sit down with a pen and paper and run the numbers. You might want to talk to your accountant too. I don't know, maybe you would be best with an in Frame? I'm sure you will figure it out.
