Vangtransport,. I in no way take that as an attack. You gave actual details to go by. You gave specific instances and exact problems.

That's actually exactly what I was addressing in my post.

I am asking specifically because i want to find out exactly what problems people are having, I myself haven't had some of these, I have had some glitch problems but not major ones. That's why I ask for specifics , which are hard to come by.

So thanks for relaying those in a clear manner, I am just trying to get a list of questions or talking points together to address and possibly find reasons or answers to those points.

Yes , I am a mentor, although I don't really like the term. It has an impression of training people or knowing more than someone else. I think being a driver advocate would give a better description.

But again thanks for the well detailed response

Is there a reason why the front axle of the pair couldn't be the lift?

If you never have to leave the pavement it doesn't sound like a bad idea. Like @spyder7723 mentioned, it's less driveline friction and thus less rolling resistance.

The front should be the lift imo, takes weight off the steers and the drives

This is why I say the communication sucks! Some of the glitches you have encountered, may be the same as others! Why can't they use the Mercer Blog with some screen shots to address some of these glitches for everyone to see, almost all of us go to that general web page area for fuel prices already. As a contractor we shouldn't have to hunt for answers on social media. If they put this info out there for all people to see, they would probably have time to resolve more issues, and free up IT from repetitive calls. I'm sure that's been mentioned before, but it has yet to happen!

That's certainly what I'd rather have.

A lift axle should be in addition to driven axles not instead of, again imo

Well, some people will add a lift axle to a single screw to make it a tandem. That's fine if you have enough powerplant to handle the bigger loads.

Using the lift on the FT. is more money because it must have a U in the center of axle to clear your drive/shaft when its lifted up? a plain axle can be put in place of drive on rear for less money
