    Exactly. A single axle is built stronger than 1 axle out of a tandem. Unless of course the truck was specced for heavy haul with monster 46k lb full lockers.

    I took a friend's advice and stayed away for a few days. It was pointed out to me that i was letting a toxic know it all ###### bait me into arguments.

    How fast are you running lol. I get 6.5 heavy and 7.2 light at 70 lol.

    I run 70-75. I'm either dead empty or at 79-80k.

    Being a W9 and a CAT probably doesn't help haha

    I also idle a lot and run my blower for the trailer.

    Don't feel bad. I haven't put enough miles on the new truck to even have a clue what fuel economy to expect. It's steadily improving. First load was 5.5 or was it 5.2? Its written down but i don't have that notebook in front of me. It had steadily gotten better with each load. I really think I'm gonna be averaging low 7s out of it once i learn the new engine a little better. But I've got nothing to back up that thought but my stubborn refusal to settle for less. If i gotta yank that freaking cummins out and rewire the cab for a series 60 ill do it before i settle for under 7 mpg.

    You know there a app to track mpg right lol. Let's truck it's free although the maker sells snake oil lol
