You don't need an impact wrench to do shocks. A good quality half inch breaker bar and a pipe will get those bolts loose. If a 3 ft pipe doesn't break them loose neither would an electric impact.

A couple things about battery impacts. The lines strong enough to actually be useful for more than washing a bit of time are fairly expensive. Your looking at a few hundred bucks for a good snapon one. The cheap ones don't last, the shock and vibration shakes the batteries apart in a very short time. If you do try one, don't go any cheaper than a dewalt.

Edit to add: take that 150 dollars and buy a small torch set at harbor freight. It will be a thousand times more useful than a cheap impact.

I know I want a cord one. How much lbs ft should I look for?

I'll have to try it with my breaker bar i got then. Didn't think it would get them off lol

You can get a dewalt electric impact for that , also harbour freight has em for 50 bucks right now. I used dewalt to lag bolts double wides and to installs axles tires and tongues

You won't find one at Snapon for 200 or even 300, more like 600, i paid 300 for a used one.

You will need more than an impact if you're going to change rear shocks on an International. Just wait until you try to get the shocks off the studs with the sleeves rusted tight to them.

Anything under 500 ft pounds is a waste of money. Even my skinny ### can put that much on a breaker bar. Heck i have had to torque the idler and rollers on my dozer. You got a good 50 lbs on me so if i can do that, you can out do a cheap electric impact with a good breaker bar and a pipe.

A torch is pretty much mandatory for shocks. I've never gotten a set off without one.
