5 in one day, on a Friday in Minnesota. Lol. I learned a very important lesson that weekend while I sat until Monday. No complaining, just time to learn the game.

I have been up here in Seattle since Monday. Good load up had another booked Picking up Tuesday it cancelled.
Found another picking up this morning.
I arrived at shipper at 0830, I was told it'll be about an hour. No problem!
Just went in to see what's up, customer on other end hasn't paid yet!
I was asked to hang out until 1130.
If customer hasn't paid they'll cut me loose with TONU.
I have an oversize booked for Monday in Ft Irwin. I should have just deadheaded
out Monday. I usually can catch a load out pretty easily up here but Northwest is dead right now.

    RStewart Thanks this.

That does suck but it's part of the game. I'm sure it will work out for you. I've only been to the nw with Mercer once & I got right in & out. But I pull a van also.

I'm easy going (most of the time) I've been in the construction business as a driver or mechanic or equipment operator
    Forever.
I try to stay out West since I live out here.
I'm surprised it seems a little slow for summer time.

    RStewart Thanks this.

I just loaded out of Kent for CA. I've been up here for about a week. Freight stinks, rates are super low. In all the years I lived up here I NEVER saw so much sun.

Anyway I'm off to Cali then the sunshine state and finally back to the Ohio valley were I can make a dime.

I don't know about open deck but freight is almost always low out there for van. Get good rates out & bad rates back so it averages out to an acceptable rate.

It's usually not TOO bad out here. Things just haven't seemed to recover out here yet. Kind of hit and miss. One should never expect to get in and out of here for a good rate. But that's why I'm moving away from here.

I would really like to live around Everett, my kind of weather. I wouldn't mind the rates leaving because I'm used to those rates leaving Oklahoma anyway. Well, until I came to Mercer. Now my rates getting out of the house are better.
