I lost an hour in that cluster tonight. The tunnel is closed to trucks northbound and closed to all traffic south bound. next time going north take 75 to Ronald Reagan highway to 71. Reverse if going south.

    HalpinUout Thanks this.

It has been a mess no doubt. I have been going around 275 east just to avoid the mess. A few more miles but a lot less Stressful...

IDK Ronal Reagan highway is 126 right? I wonder how much of a cluster that is... I took 275 all the way around today and according to google maps it added 18 miles but saved me 37 minutes and that was at 130 this afternoon... Then up around the 55mp I guess a truck rolled causing a long backup so I had to get off and detour around that versus sitting in that mess....

Idk the route number, the exit sign says Ronald Reagan hwy, i think its exit 10 on 75. Or close to 10. Look at your atlas. Its a 4 lane with exits, so basically an interstate, that runs between 75 and 71(heck it might even go all the way out to 275) about halfway between the river and the north side of 275.

But then again i think 75 is still under construction through there so might not actually be any faster.

The east side of 275 seems to work best

At what point do some of you call and ask for additional money on a load? This load I accepted then they call saying the customer wants to move it for a little lower... I had a couple other loads planned so I said OK on the new price... I show up and it's not 4 foot tarps as advertised, and the weight went from 15k to 30k... Would I be out of line calling and saying something?

No , you wouldn't be out line. If they already cut it, and then it was a higher tarp and weight, you should in fact ask.

Then when you get the answer , you can make a decision.

The tarp is a bigger concern than weight to me, I pick up far more loads that are lighter than advertised, the ones that are heavier I don't encounter but rarely.

But it never hurts to ask
