I haven't read any of his books, but have listened to his radio show years back...... that quote always stuck out to me.

So here is my question for a setup.. Trying to decide what route to go. i can Buy a kit for my generator thats $350? To do my extended run fuel lines.. Its a plug and play type deal. BUT couldn't i just buy a $20 fuel pump to pump the gas from one tank into a generator? Which i would put near the generator thats pumping fuel from the tank to the generator tank.. Question is what could i use so it wouldn't over pump/Over fill the tank and cause some problems.. I've thought of a fuel pressure regulator but i got no clue how i could even hook that up...

I think you gonna need to spend the $350. Are you looking at the kit from Pinellas Power Company?
Extended Run Time Remote Auxiliary Fuel Tank Kit For Honda EU3000iS Generator - Pinellas Power Products - Portable Generator Extended Fuel Systems & Wireless Remote Control -
No this one is a little more then pinellas but its more easy takes 2 mins lol. This one plugs into the Fill tube for oil(Screws on) has a filter to stop oil from getting into the gas. Its $399 IPI BERGS 3 Extended Run Fuel System (Tank not included) Part # 3CLBERG3.00-012
Guess i was 49 bucks off lolthaistick Thanks this. -
My extended run set up usea a pulse pump. There's a guy that has a video on YouTube showing how to set it up on my exact generator & he sells a kit for $249 minus the tank. I bought everything I need in a kit from Amazon for $17.

Seen couple where the run a hose inside and something with the ovh cover. I'm not sure I wanna drill a hole or bend the ovh cover. My generator has a 3 year warranty so would suck to void it lolRStewart Thanks this.

The hole is already there. It's the crankcase breather hose.
