Well what should've been a couple hour job turned into about 5 hours. I changed all 6 shocks. The bolts weren't rusted in just dang tight. I was going to go get a new impact (still on my to do list) but I'm stubborn. I sat there staring at the shock bolts & finally another idea popped into my head & I tried it & it worked. Nothing like a little manual labor. Lol. I was eventually able to use the impact once I had the bolts broke loose.

Moved on to the cab shocks today & I had to cut one bolt cause it was rusted in. Cut off wheel made quick work of that job. The other bolt came loss with my same combination of manual labor & then the impact.

Heading to town to get a couple new bolts & more anti-sieze.

After they are on them i move to my last project (for this week) which is installing my new air lines/light chord.

All in all, a well spent $2500. Lol

I like doing that manual labor stuff in the early spring or late fall.

Lol. It feels like a warm fall day here right now. Not sure what's up with this weather but it's not our typical August weather. I don't mind the manual labor but it's much better with the proper tools. Lol

Call your recruiter and have them email you a price estimate list of the equipment they have.... I bought the majority of my stuff from Tarp Stop before I arrived.... Check them, us cargo control and My tee products and decide what is best money wise for yourself... I got my headache rack at mercer.

I think My tee products out of Ohio and US cargo out of Iowa both have free shipping with purchases of $2k or more...or might be $2500

Talk with your recruiter. When I came on my recruiter lined it up for me.

Are you trying to break them loose from the bolt side or the nut? Needs to be broke loose from the nut first. Mine was set up with the nut on the wheel side. I got in there with a wrench to break it loose, then threw the impact on the bolt.
