Yeah, I've lost sleep over it and continuously ask myself why.

Good point, but it may be more cost-effective to have it charged up now and then driven over since it will be picked up within the next 10 days.

@HalpinUout mine were getting like that from day 1. It took between 7k and 10k but tget would be black. Since the rebuild, they take much longer to get black. I know that doesn't really help you, but I doubt it's an algae issue

Do what @TruckerPete1990 said, get a case of the Asphaltene Conditioner from Cummins, also get a couple bottles of Biobor JF. A lot of Thermo King dealers stock it (I know the Nashville TK does). It's going to be a long hard winter if you don't get a handle on it now. When cold weather gets here that filter with 10,000 miles will have you on the side of the road at 5,000 miles.

I'm going to go out on a limb and take a guess that you get most of your fuel from a select group of Loves. Change your fueling habits, someplace that you frequent has a problem in a tank.

If your south of Nashville on 65 let me know, I've got an extra bottle of conditioner I'll give you. Takes a long time to use it up in a Ford Super Duty:)

    whoopNride and HalpinUout Thank this.
