I do mine every other year right before it gets cold. But i religiously drain my air tanks every night to get rid of any water in the system.

Still trying to get cleared by the FMCSA but I'm full steam ahead on getting my studies in to go and get my clp as soon as I get word, but thanks for remembering me. Been doing research daily and trying to figure out how far I'm actually willing to go, but I'm like a fly, I'm always around and still trying to get into the crap, LOL. Not a pleasant analogy but it gets my point across and how bad I wanna fight to get ahead!!!!!

yesterday i was at GP and my air wouldnt build up. i went over everything i could think of. an older logging truck driver came over and asked what was going on and i told him. we climbed under the truck and went to the dryer and he hit the plunger hard with his palm and i started to build pressure again. said i had moisture in my system and when the relief went the air kicked up dust and grit. that got in and wouldnt let the relief close. today i got under and cleaned it as good as i can. its one of those things that off road truckers deal with routinely. glad he was around to share that knowledge.

I was sitting at a truck stop years ago minding my own business. This "kid" walks up to my truck and starts asking me a few questions. It turns out he had a flat bed and was having problems with his truck. He was on the phone talking to his dad, trying to get it resolved.

When they couldn't get the problem fixed, the dad told the son to look around the truck stop and find an old, gray haired flatbed owner operator and see if he could help him.

I felt rather honored to be sought out. We did get it fixed, us old guys have learned a lot over the years.
