43k minus down payment. I should get a good rate in thinking 6-7%...

How many tires do you guys think you've replaced on a spread axle over the course of say 5 years? The benefit in the lift axle is obviously the tire situation, how much fuel does it save? I wonder what is the maximum weight that is allowed to be on the deck and have the lift in up position? The only loads I see it lifted on is insulation....

Two years ago I got 4.25% from my local bank, can still get that rate today if I wanted to buy something. The fed will be raising rates later this year from what I heard though.

If you pay extra every month and there's no early payoff penalty (I won't sign a note with that) you can drive down the interest rate that way also.

20k on a single axle. Mpg savings from my research was .5 mpg. I've had my trailer just under 5 years and put tires on it this year. But i don't run a lot of miles.

I'm going to try the bank I started my LLC at and see... I've got a good amount of money built up in the account since I've started it a little over 3 months ago. Not sure if they are going to want me to have at least 6 months in business or not?

I'm talking about a single tire that got ruined like the one I replaced today... How often has that happens to you in the course of a few years? I thought its common occurrence with a spread?

I live in a small town, done business with my bank for many years on cars, etc. When I went to talk to them about financing a truck years ago they said no way, been burned to many times on trucks. Several years later I stopped in when I was trading trucks to see if they would do it. They agreed, and now anytime I want to get a new truck they have no issues with it. Call us if you write a check and we'll get the funds in your account and take care of the paperwork later. I've never asked them to borrow me money on a trailer though. Would probably be the same deal I think.

    spyder7723 and HalpinUout Thank this.

I've never had one split like that. But i use my dump valve religiously.

Edit to add: and i also think before i act. I don't put myself in situations where a sharp back is going to be necessary. Never more than 30 to 40 degrees.

I think to... I would have thought that it would happen on a drivers side tire because I always make turn that way making a back etc etc.... you use that dump valve when loaded?
