Well the guy I was dealing with in Missouri got the boot from me, was supposed to call me back a week ago and never did. Anyhow talked to Tom in Sioux Falls today, going to give him my business.. Does your trailer have the tire inflation system on it? I wasn't sure if I wanted those because of mechanical reasons and according to him he hasn't heard of anyone having issues with them at all...

you lowered the size of pickup tube?
also moving to valve cover wont make any difference, its same crankcase pressure. the crankcase pressure simply pulses as the piston goes up and down.
if you have a 3/4 inch pickup line it may well be to much volume to lift from tank , to check just take a small piece of tubing and stick tank and connect to pump and see if it pulls it up there, if those pumps can feed a modified kart engine at 7000 rpm it should do what you are wanting .
that is simply a rubber grommet type fitting in the valve cover. i will be home tommorrow ,i could send you the pics of the setup on one of my briggs animal kart engines if you like -
