I gotta say in not even 6 months of being here I've had 3 different Agents call me several times while I've been on a load to make sure I am going to be on time for delivery. I've asked all of them why do they continue to call and all 3 have said they have been losing good paying customers because our drivers have been oversleeping causing them to be late on delivery. I just can't see how grown adults can actually use that lame childish of an excuse. Never would have thought supposed Owner Operators would need to be hand held. I wonder how much of that Mercer puts up with before they give them the boot? I certainly hope not much. Ridiculous

Nothing new some drivers just dont care.. I was at UPS in ohio and they were talking about a mercer truck... He left lousville at 0430 and it was 1200ish? And he wasn't there yet... Its a little over 3 hours lol

To add sometimes i understand stuff happens like the alarm didn't go off or something stupid like that. but when its all the time:/

Ya but even this is inexcusable.. The only excuse I see that would be valid is a breakdown or blowout etc etc... Owner Operator is a business.

Sometimes stuff happens. Ive been late to 1 pickup since being here. Took 3 extra hours to get out of baltimore so i called to say i would be an hour late for pickup the next morning.

I'm talking more on terms of delivery. If I had a crane and crew of workers sitting around waiting for a driver that overslept, or one who didn't leave early enough and is blaming traffic, and now my construction site is on hold.I wouldn't be using that carrier again.
